When you visit your local Ford Dealer New York, you should prepare yourself for the wide array of truck options they can offer you.  The popular F-150 is one of several truck options from Ford, and of course it follows their motto of being “Built Ford Tough.”  While it has yet to be released to the market and is still in the final stages of perfection, Ford is planning to offer a V6 Ford F-150 for the first time in years!  They want to make sure that the smaller engine size can still perform to their high standards.  But not even taking that into consideration, there are nine different trim levels for this one truck line!

To make it a bit more confusing for drivers there are three different bed lengths offered on the Ford F-150 as well as three different cab sizes!  At least if you are purchasing a truck from Ford Motor Company you are likely to get exactly what it is you want and need in a truck.  Some of the more elusive and exclusive options include the Harley-Davidson edition that comes with leather and chrome, making it stand out in a crowd, as well as the off road SVT Raptor.  Standard models are the base model XL, the STX, the popular XLT, and the FX4.  There are plenty of options you can upgrade to as well.  Some drivers prefer to go with the well equipped models like the Premium, King Ranch, or Lariat.

The only con for the 2010 Ford F-150 is that it does not offer a large engine.  The ford motor company is expected to release a new version of the  engine for the F- Series in later years, but the Ford F-150 is still a top buy, and the newer engine is worth the wait.  The Ford 2010 F-150 is sold for 20,000 to 41,000 based on the features the customers pick. The regular super cab with two wheel drive is sold for around 22,000, and the four wheel drive with the  super cab is sold for around 25,000.

Well, Ford Motor has announced that 85 percent of each Ford vehicle, even those at your Cincinnati Ford dealer, made now is recyclable. In addition to the usual car parts that have been recycled for years, Ford has also been adding sustainable raw materials or recycled materials for components in select cars. Ford’s use of components like splash shields and engine covers made from post-consumer recycled plastics has prevented an estimated 25 million to 30 million pounds of plastic from going into landfills, according to company statistics.

For example, the 2010 Ford Taurus, will be the 11th Ford vehicle to have seat cushions, seat backs, and headrests made from soy and biomass-based foam. Ford-produced vehicles that already have this include: the Ford Mustang, F-150, Focus, Flex, Escape, Expedition, Econoline, Mercury Mariner, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln Navigator. All of these vehicles can be found at a New Hampshire Ford dealer.

The company is also using seat fabrics made from recycled yarn in the Ford Escape and Escape Hybrid, and in the 2010 Ford Flex the storage bins are made from wheat straw-reinforced plastic. lts goal is to eventually make cars where none of the plastic components are made from petroleum, but from things that are completely compostable.

So, why is Ford suddenly spinning all this oh-we-forgot-to-mention-we’ve-always-been-environmentalists info now? In addition to it being Earth Day, it could be that Ford is as flabbergasted as the rest of us that the 2010 World Green Car of the Year award went to a green branding program instead of an actual car. Volkswagen won the prestigious car award for its BlueMotion versions of the Golf, Passat, and Polo. BlueMotion is their brand name for the versions of the cars that include extra efficiency technology. Perhaps, Ford is taking it one step further and planning to add sustainable materials into its own green branding of cars so that you can obtain one at Concord Ford dealer too.

The F-Series is a series of full-size pickup trucks from Ford Motor Company that has been sold for over five decades. The most popular of the F-Series is the F-150 . Introducing two very popular pick-up trucks: the Chevy Silverado and the Ford F-150, I’m sure we are well aware of each’s popularity as well as the fact that they are known competitors of one another. These two companies and makes have been battling it out for the upper hand in the truck world and from whatever stand-point you are on it is obvious enough to admit that both of these trucks are fine vehicles.

The question everyone wants the answer to however is: which one of them is better?

There has been a great debate among consumer, manufacturers and even companies as to what that answer is. The truth is, we will never be able to fully answer this for everyone. The only true things we can answer is which is better by solid fact. In safety crash-test ratings, there is nothing but solid cold, hard fact.

Basing opinion on fact has steered “the answer” to which truck is better under safety features right back to the Ford F-150. With the 2009 Ford F-150 reaching the 5-star crash-rating test in January of 2009, and being labeled the “safest full-size pickup” it has been a tough game for the Chevy Silverado to keep up with.

In the question of which truck gains the safest title, it seems as if yet again the Ford F-150 has left the Chevy Silverado hanging in the dust. It seems Chevy’s Silverado campaign for having a rugged truck is true. Just a lot more true then I’m sure any of its consumers would want to experience.
