If you are in the market for a new truck, make sure you stop by North Carolina Chevrolet Dealer to look at the new Silverado inventory.  The 2010 models will be scarce, but because dealers are trying to empty the lots as the 2011 models come in, you should be able to get a great deal.  And the only reason you should look for a truck at Peoria Volkswagen is if you are looking for a used model; the closest thing VW makes to a truck would be the Tiguan SUV.  American auto makers have been making great trucks for some time now.  We are going to take a look at the engines that are in the 2010 Chevy Silverado and the 2010 Dodge Ram, just to see how the sizes and numbers compare.  While buying a new truck can be a costly investment, you might be able to find a used one at a Philadelphia Hyundai Dealers lot.

The Dodge has three engine choices for the Ram 1500.  There is a 3.7 liter V6 that gives you 210 horsepower.  There is a larger 4.7 liter V8 that gives an impressive 310 horsepower.  Lastly, Dodge has their famous Hemi, a 5.7 liter V8 that will give drivers 390 horsepower.  When all is said and done and you have all the right options, the Ram 1500 can tow 10,250 pounds.

Chevy offers consumers a few more choices when it comes to the Silverado.  The largest engine you can get is a 6.2 liter V8, and that is going to give you 403 horsepower!  That is one of the most powerful engines available in a full size truck, beating out the Tundra and Ram.  More common engines available include the 4.8 liter V8, giving drivers a solid 302 horsepower or the larger 5.3 liter V8 with 315 horsepower.  The smaller V6 engine is a 4.0 liter and only has 195 horsepower.

All in all, it looks like the Silverado has the more powerful engine when looking at horsepower.  The best thing to do now is to go test drive them to see how they handle.  Sometimes, a number is just a number!

Dodge shoppers can visit any VW Dealer and probably find a great deal on a used model. Sometimes even Warwick Honda will have a few on hand. If you are in the market for an SUV or even what is termed a crossover SUV, you should check out the 2010 Dodge Nitro. Just like all vehicles in this market, there is a lot of competition. Currently there are WA Nissan Deals on the Nissan Xterra, which falls in the same class as the Nitro. Other strong competitors in its class include the Subaru Forester, Toyota FJ Cruiser, and the GMC Terrain.  Even the Honda CRV which is available at Warwick Honda fits the crossover competition bill.

The Nitro gets good marks for its tough, macho exterior image, and impressive towing capabilities. Styled after the Jeep Liberty, people feel connected to the Nitro’s outward appearance. However, Dodge seems to have fallen short as the competition offers better gas mileage, tighter steering and handling, and a more modern and comfortable interior. Some consumers have even reported that this compact SUV handles like a truck.

Improvements for the 2010 model include new trim names of Heat, Detonator, and Shock. All models come standard with keyless entry, roof rack, 60/40 split rear seat that also reclines, auxiliary audio jack, tinted windows, and 20 inch chrome wheels. The sound system has been upgraded and it comes standard with six speakers. Also, to try and save gas although it doesn’t compare to the competition, there is a fuel closure feature when decelerating. On the inside cabin, the materials do not wow the crowd and appear pretty plain. Also, the backseat offers a decent amount of legroom and the back reclines. The optional V6 engine has a system so four wheel drive kicks in at lower speeds.

Sadly, the Dodge Nitro does not get the best of reviews.  It is a flashy car and has a lot to offer.  But, when you put it in respective of the other crossover SUVs on the market, it just does not make the cut!

When you think of luxury sports cars, it is unlikely you would head to Portland Volvo to begin your car search.  VW Peoria may have some great little sporty cars, but the word luxury is not usually in the category description.  However, if a shopper headed over to Bradenton used cars, it is likely they would find at least a handful or so of luxury sports cars.  One of America’s sports cars may be getting phased out of production.  Chrysler has decided to phase out their Dodge Viper now that they have merged with Fiat.  The Viper was on the chopping block back in 2008 when Chrysler was trying to slim down their budgets.  Even though sales of the Dodge Viper are low and definitely appeal to a select market, since its debut in 1989 the Viper has been an American icon.

As far as luxury sports car convertibles go, the Viper holds its own.  While the number one ranking spot goes to the Chevrolet Corvette, the Viper’s V10 engine offers something others in the class can’t beat.  So what will consumers find under the hood of the 2010 Dodge Viper?  The V10 8.4-liter engine will produce a shocking 600 horsepower that will accelerate this monster of a machine to 60 mph in a mere four seconds.  People have said that this car is meant to race, and the American Club Racer trim that comes standard on the Viper is proof.  During a recent track test, the Viper was faster than the competing Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, a model GM is having a tough time to improve upon.  Perhaps they should take some pointers from the Viper!

Competition comes mainly from the 2010 Nissan GT-R.  It is able to accelerate to 60 mph in three seconds!  That quicker speed comes from a smaller engine to boot!  The Nissan GT-R is a V6 3.8-liter twin turbocharge engine that pushes 485 horsepower.  Good thing the Viper is built for power and speed, and can out power its speedy competition.

The Dodge Caliber ranks 7 out of 7 in the Affordable Compact Wagons category.  The Dodge Caliber is aggressive and macho styling on the outside.  The hatch could be hot if it had the full package.  Its lacking though, on the inside and under the hood.  Even the SRT8, top of the line model, has been discontinued.  Comfortable seating and a roomy cargo area for a smaller car, keeps a spot on anyone searching for a hatchback.

New for 2010, the inside has some tech upgrades.  Dodge is carrying the Uconnect infotainment system.  That contains the same like any other make or model of cars, it has the navigation, multimedia, phone and web.  Now, its all pretty much standard now a days for the navigation.  Everyone appreciates it in their car when they are traveling or even in unfamiliar territory in a big city.  The phone is typical now, connecting wirelessly with the bluetooth technology for the handsfree option.  Now, the web is a new innovation that received the 2009 VIP (Very Innovative Product) Award from the Good Housekeeping Research Institute. This is a Wifi high speed internet in your car that comes with a in car router that receives 3G broadband internet.  That way your passengers can do whatever they want to check email, play games, surf or download music.

Dodge provides the powertrain warranty of 5 year 100,0o0 and the 3 year 36,000 bumper to bumper.  It is one of the perks that Dodge has that competes  with other car makers.  Does the Dodge Caliber calibrate to others?
