Many companies such as Ford and Chevrolet now offer the option of buying a Crossover or an SUV but many consumers don’t even know the difference between them. For one, they are both large vehicles and look very similar.

A crossover is a vehicle built on a car platform that borrows features of a typical Sports Utility Vehicle. Crossovers are typically designed for only light off-road capability, if any at all. While an SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) is a vehicle that combines the towing capacity of a full-size truck with the passenger and storage capacity of a minivan.

It’s important to remember that “crossover” began as a marketing term. It’s one of those words that has evolved, eventually gaining mainstream acceptance. In general, a crossover vehicle is of uni-body construction on a car-based platform, with ride, handling and performance characteristics similar to cars. They can appear either wagon- or SUV-like in appearance (though they aren’t really meant for off-road use), often have a lower roof line or step-in height compared to a traditional SUV, and in general get better gas mileage compared to most SUVs.

Many SUVs and crossovers have the ability to hold up to eight or nine passengers in relative comfort. While they may be capable of carrying that much human cargo, in nearly all cases rear standard cargo room is dramatically sacrificed. We felt that for this segment in particular, it is difficult for consumers to figure out which of the offerings are best suited to their needs.

Though many modern day motorists value the SUV for its size and roominess, many others criticize their lack of fuel-efficiency and their contribution to air pollution. Consumers who value the SUV do so not only for its size, but the perceived safety of driving such a bulky vehicle. Though crash test safety ratings vary with makes and models, some SUVs are known to pose the risk of rollover.

And so in conclusion, there’s really not that big of a difference between an SUV and a Crossover it all really just matters if you would like to go offroading or not. If you’d like a Cross over Ford offers the Edge and the Flex while Chevy offers the Equinox and the Traverse.

Looking at SUV’s is easy to do–buying one however, is something buyers around the world are meticulous about. After all, if you buy this car–you want to know it’s right for you. That is why most consumers head to Cincinnati Ford Dealers as well as Greenville Chevy Dealers who offer the cars they want at the prices they need. Yet amidst these dealers they may not find the GMC Terrain, something they ought to have been looking for from the very beginning.

Loaded with great features such as a standard rear-view camera for added safety, good versatility with Multi-Flex sliding rear seats, its excellent fuel-economy for its class, and class-leading for highway fuel-economy. The Terrain even has a quiet and high quality interior! Talk about quality!

However, as much critics may brag about the GMC Terrain, there also other critics who talk against the Terrain which is a lot of the reason because of the bold exterior that seems to divide critics opinions and views on the Terrain. Even the engine has been submitted for disappointment both in how similar it is to the Chevy Equinox as well as the unavailable manual transmission some consumers would prefer to have.

The bottom line riding on the GMC Terrain is simply resting on the consumer’s opinion as to whether or not this SUV suits the consumer. Whether you need the safety and fuel-economy features that come along with it or whether you’d prefer a much more subtle exterior design with more power under the engine. The choice is up to you!
If not, they may just desert it for Lawrenceburg Chevy Dealer or North Carolina Chevy Dealer.

Given with solid engine choices in the inline-six and V8, excellent towing and off-roading capabilities, as well as a roomy ample interior that provides enough space for both the passengers and the driver without giving them a cramped up ride which further supports soccer mom’s and road-trip taking families around the nation.

While this SUV may be marketed with all these great features it is also released with some unfortunate features such as a questionable amount of reliability and sub-par value when compared to some competitors in its class. It even has been known to have some controversial steering and sluggish handling attributes.

If you as the consumer can look past these small negatives it may just might be the SUV for you. So don’t wait–go take one for a test drive today!

The modern day SUV has taken over the roads with soccer mom’s and nearly kicked out mini-van’s as we know it. The GMC Yukon is no different to this seemingly new adapted philosophy. With the nine passenger seating, great performance, and inviting interior it’s no wonder the consumer has looked away from dealers like Doug Henry and Terry Lee Honda and instead invested their time in researching this beautiful SUV.

While it is known for its competitiveness to the Cadillac Escalade and Chevy Tahoe, it still puts up enough fight in the luxury and interior refinement departments to be left astray by any consumer. Although it may not be as much of a show-off car as the Escalade it has been known to be criticized as being Chevy Tahoe’s twin yet with a much better quality for the money. Whether or not this is true or not is what we’ll let you decide. So don’t wait–go test drive one today!
